We are carrying out a fundamental R and D study on development of casting　and die technology in manufacturing, ultra precision instrument processing technique　and surface integrity methodology for safety and security society. Special emphasis　has been placed upon a fundamentals for eatablishment of safe and security in machines　and structures and the promotion of manufacturing industry to support the northeastern　recovery through industry-university collaboration in the next- generation automobile　development.
